Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture
Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture is a specialised therapy where acupuncture points on the outer ear are treated, using either needles or acupunctoscopes (electrical location and stimulation machines) to help relieve many complaints. All the head acupuncture points (eg. throat, tonsils, sinuses) for example, are located on the ear lobe. All the major organs (eg. heart, lungs, liver) are located in the concha or ‘well’ of the ear, and the lower limbs are positioned at the ‘top’ of the ear, as are the acupuncture points for the knees, toes and ankles.
